Computer Network Management Fundamentals Programme: ICT Knowledge Transfer Collaboration with KMKJ
On 14 December 2024, a high-impact educational programme was successfully conducted through a collaboration between the ICT Services Course, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and the Engineering Foundation Unit of Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Johor. The programme, held at Lecture Hall 1 KMKJ, served as a community-based learning initiative aimed at strengthening students’ foundational knowledge in computer networking.
The programme involved 43 students from the Engineering Foundation Course at KMKJ, all of whom demonstrated strong enthusiasm and active participation throughout the activities. The ICT Services Course delegation from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, led by Associate Professor Dr Noor Azean, played a significant role in delivering knowledge and guiding participants through interactive and practical learning approaches.
The second interview was completely different. It was in 2017, the first day of Le Pen’s official presidential campaign.

Exposure to Fundamental Computer Networking Concepts
Throughout the programme, participants were introduced to various fundamental aspects of computer networking, particularly:
- Internet cable connection and configuration
- Fundamentals of computer network connectivity
- Basic WiFi networking concepts
- Practical networking installation activities
The hands-on learning approach enabled students to gain a clearer understanding of networking concepts while simultaneously improving their confidence in handling networking equipment and basic ICT connections.
In addition to theoretical sessions, facilitators conducted practical workshops to provide participants with real-world experience in basic network installation and management. This approach not only enhanced technical understanding but also fostered communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities among participants.
Facilitators and Alumni Involvement
The programme also received strong support from facilitators representing the ICT Services Course UTM, who shared their expertise and experiences in the field of technology and computer networking. Their dedication and commitment towards ensuring the programme’s success were greatly appreciated.
Notably, three KMKJ alumni also returned to contribute as facilitators for the programme, namely:
- Ahmad Husnul Nazid Bin Mohd Zaimi
- Dary Nur Imran bin Izammud-din
- Muhammad Nazirul Hakim bin Mohd Azain
These alumni were former students of the Civil Engineering programme for the 2022/2023 session. Their direct involvement served as an inspiration to current participants and reflected the enduring spirit of knowledge-sharing and academic community engagement beyond graduation.
Strengthening Knowledge and Digital Competency
The implementation of the Computer Network Management Fundamentals Programme not only provided academic value to participants but also contributed towards enhancing their digital competency and readiness for the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Through programmes such as this, students were able to:
- Ahmad Husnul Nazid Bin Mohd Zaimi
- Dary Nur Imran bin Izammud-din
- Muhammad Nazirul Hakim bin Mohd Azain
- Internet cable connection and configuration
- Fundamentals of computer network connectivity
- Basic WiFi networking concepts
- Practical networking installation activities
The programme also reflected the continuous efforts of UTM and KMKJ in empowering technology education through experiential and community-oriented learning approaches.
Overall, the Computer Network Management Fundamentals Programme successfully achieved its objectives in delivering fundamental ICT knowledge to participants through an engaging, interactive, and meaningful learning environment. It is hoped that similar programmes will continue to be organised in the future to nurture technologically literate students equipped with strong digital skills and readiness to face the challenges of the digital era.
